The Crown Deck Tarot cards and their original source paintings for sale on this site were conceived as a gift for a long-lost childhood friend.
In February 2020, as the Covid 19 pandemic began to take hold of the world stage, and normal life seemed to come to a standstill, Christina and Kathryn began a two year concentrated process of creation. It culminated with the decks and original paintings that can be found on this site.
THE ARTIST
Christina Hale is a renowned multi-media artist. Her paintings and drawings grace both the Achenbach Museum and LACMA s permanent drawing collections.
THE DESIGNER
Kathryn Bucher is a filmmaker and photographer. Her award winning films have played in festivals internationally.
This short film details the backstory of the creation of The Crown Deck Tarot as well as presenting a brief overview of Christina's artistic career.
